The Answers You Need
When is the best time to start my practice of Hypnobirthing?
You can start Hypnobirthing at any time in your pregnancy, however it would be advised to begin your practice from 24 weeks of pregnancy to allow you the time to practice and build confidence before the birth of your baby.
Can I do Hypnobirthing by myself or with my partner?
You may do whatever you feel most comfortable doing. If you have a chosen birth partner it can be helpful for you both to come along to the sessions, that way they can learn your needs during the birth. Hypnobirthing is all about using communication to empower you to feel fearless during the birth of your baby, whether this works best for just you, or both you and your partner, anything is welcome.
Can I still do Hypnobirthing if I am having a planned Caesarean Section?
Absolutely! Hypnobirthing can be used for any sort of birth, it is all about preparation and practice to enable you to have the best possible birth experience. There is a specific course for a planned abdominal birth - click here to find it.
If your baby decides to make a slightly early arrival before your course you will of course receive a full refund, I will also be available to be contacted via email to support you if required.
Whether it's your first, second or fifth baby, Hypnobirthing is there to positively empower you so that you can have the birth you want. You will learn about taking ownership of your birth experience and be guided to make informed and safe choices about your birth and baby. Birth and Breathe teaches you about the importance of trusting your caregiver (your Midwife or Obstetrician) and creating a safe, positive experience for you and your birth partner.
I've already started an alternative Antenatal Class but am keen to also practising Hypnobirthing... can I do both?
We know that birth preparation can be expensive, but it is an incredibly useful investment. If you have completed an alternative antenatal course before stumbling across Hypnobirthing, but are keen to try a Taster Session, please contact me to discuss more! If other couples in your group are also looking to learn about the benefits of Hypnobirthing a group session can be organised.
I am expecting twins - can I still learn about how Hypnobirthing can help me?
Expecting more than one baby although exciting can feel overwhelming! The Birth and Breathe Course will enable you to remain focussed and calm in preparation for the birth of your little ones. Sometimes our preparations for birth change but as a practising Midwife I will be there to support and guide you through your options.
