What's it all about?
Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy
"Words are the most powerful drug known to man" - Kipling, 1923.
When you initially think of hypnosis you imagine being in a trance, instructed to do strange things with no memory of anything you've done when you're 'woken up' a few minutes later. The tools of a Hypnotherapist are words. Everyone responds differently to Hypnosis, whether you remain awake and alert or fall asleep; it still works.
By taking aspects of Hypnosis, Hypnobirthing uses the mind to store positive language in your subconscious and instilling calm in preparation for the birth of your baby.
The Birth and Breathe Course instills calm, confidence and control to parents-to-be. It is important to know that Hypnobirthing is not a method of pain relief; it is a system of letting go, and works best through preparation.
During a Hypnobirthing course with Birth and Breathe you will learn many aspects of relaxation, learning the physiology of pregnancy and birth and how your birth partner and midwife can support you during labour and birth.
